San Francisco Art Openings: Southern Exposure Gallery

SOUTHERN EXPOSURE:
4TH ANNUAL MONSTER DRAWING RALLY
OPENING 06.18.04

Comment: Monster Drawing Rally is a successful evening of fundraising (nonprofits take note) where over 100 artists make drawings on the spot that Southern Exposure then sells for fifty bucks apiece-- money that goes to support Southern Exposure's various arts programs. Not only do you get to watch real artists make real art, but you get to see real bargain hunters hover, pounce, and buy their favorite artists' drawings the nanosecond they're complete. As if that's not enough, for the modest admission charge (free), you can also talk to your favorite artists, venerate and exalt them, appraise their fashion statements, photograph them, bewilder them with inane questions, see what kind of beer they drink, and make other kinds of direct contact that you don't normally get to make. So there you go, San Francisco-- say hello to your artists!!

Artist/Artists: Far too numerous to mention.
