Hashimoto Contemporary: Abigail Goldman - Mea Culpa

Comment by AB: Abigail Goldman materializes her gruesome sense of humor in the form of murderous little mini-dioramas. Corpses corpses everywhere in this cavalcade of carnage. Worth a visit.

Caldwell Snyder Gallery: Recent Paintings by Regina Saura & Manel Anoro

Comment by AB: Fanciful dreamlike trees, forests and fields of flowers by Reguna Saura blend in subtle hints of human intervention like bits of writing and collaged numbers. In the rear gallery, enjoy Manel Anoro's vibrant impressionist landscapes and coastal views.

Gauntlet Gallery: Oh! You Pretty Things - Johannah O'Donnell & Rebecca Rose

Comment by AB: Rebecca Rose rings are really more like miniature sculptures, both in complexity of composition and detail. The best news is that she does commissions. If you can dream it up, she can make it for you. Her outrageous rings are guaranteed to make your hands happy. Also on the docket are beautifully executed portraits of "masked" animals and music icons. It's all good here. Stop on by and see for yourself.

The City Gallery: Glass Art Group Show

Comment by AB: They tell me there's an active and highly talented community of glass artists in the far Northern part of the state, and if the inaugural show at The City Gallery is any indication, they're absolutely right. You have to see this work in person to really appreciate it. Definitely worth a visit.

Ramon's Tailor: Daniel Brickman - These Are That

Comment by AB: Earthy abstract sculptures by Daniel Brickman are made with an atypical combination of ingredients, namely polyester resin, sawdust, ink, rope, jute and paper. Not your everyday art.
