Book & Job Gallery: Travis Jensen and Rasta Dave - Excelsior District Video Release and Photo Exhibit
Comment by AB: Sometimes San Francisco can seem like an endless expanse of bistros, boutiques and techies. This photographic and video look at the Excelsior District conclusively proves otherwise. Not all neighborhoods have been overrun by transplants and their amusements. Indeed, our fair Fogtown's heart and soul is still alive and well, though these days you just have to look a little harder to find it. I'd tell you to go see this show, but it's already gone. Too bad 'cuz it was a good one.

Adobe Backroom Gallery: Jason Houck - Wouldn't You Like To?
Comment by AB: Jason Houck creates a life-sized cyanotype installation, shelf-by-shelf, of a seven by 25-foot section of the Adobe Bookshop exactly as it looked on the afternoon of June 6, 2016. You can buy a single shelf for $200, or an entire case, or the whole shootin' match if you want the complete immersive experience. Nicely done.

Needles and Pens: Energy Descriptions - Julianna Bright
Comment by AB: Julianna Bright's gouache paintings on black paper look like exotic forms of plant life, but they're also about energy and the life force that pulses through the universe.
